The City of Irving established Planned Unit Development Zone (PUD) #6 in 2015 to foster the redevelopment of the Former Stadium Site. The site consists of more than 400 buildable acres of land and is located between State Highway (SH) 183, SH 114, Loop 12 and Spur 482.
In 2016, the City of Irving implemented Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) #6. Sharing the exact same boundaries as PUD #6, the TIRZ's purpose is to help pay for the project costs associated with development. The district's costs primarily included:
Infrastructure Improvements: Water, sanitary sewer and stormwater; roadway and public transportation, etc.
Streetscape Enhancements: gateway features, linear parks, public plazas, etc.
